Notes for MIKE EISENZIMMER: Buried in Devils Lake, ND

Mike's first wife died in 1924, leaving 5 kids, 10 Madadelina, (Died Dec. of 1999), the oldest, then Katherine, Mike, Frank, and 2 or 3 old Sebastian.

The step mother apparently raised them. Frank went off to war (WWII) and was killed at a young age (very early 20's. He, by the way, has a daughter named Francesca, but we don't know where she Island Last anyone in our family knew was that she lived in Maine and was getting married, but we don't know the married name. )
Si left home, don?t know what age or any more about him other than that he died around 1997 and was living in the Washington DC area.

After his first wife died Mike married Katherine Keller. One or more of his sons from the first marriage worked in the CCC camps building parks, roads etc. They left the home as soon as they could.

Magdelina left home at the age of 18. By that time Marie, Ray, Floyd and Alice had been born. She was aware that there were more kids after that, but she had cut all ties by then and didn't even know their names. She never went back to North Dakota, not even for Mike's funeral when he died - that is how bitter it was. She had a daughter, 2 months old when that happened, I think.

    the right one!!!

Balis Buck lived with his daughter Mickey & her mother for a few years, thereafter he had weekend visitations for a few years more.
Balis & Mickey were then separated for 14 years, not knowing either's whereabouts, before finding each other again, through Oregon friends, in 1950.
There was a question of Mickey's father's paternity, which was finally proven in a 2012 DNA testing between Mickey and her half-nephew, putting to rest all rumors, and proving William Balis Buck WAS her biological father.
