      BURIAL - Rancho Pinole - 1967 article
      Oakland Tribune, June 11, 1967, p.22-CM
"Don Ygnacio died at El Pinole Rancho and was buried at Mission San Jose on June 24, 1848. Stephen Richardson, a grandson, told of the funeral:
'The casket was carried on a 'carreta,' a Spanish wagon with wooden wheels, drawn by a double yoke of oxen. The procession wound its way to the mission, stopping at the haciendas (ranches) that it passed, and at each one was joined by members of the family who lived there."
Stephen figured the trip took four or five days.'"
