Johann Friedrich Schwald (1798), a son of Friedrich Schwald and Anna Barbara Homberger, married Anna Barbara Weiss (not Weis) in Fischenberg on July 28, 1825. She was a daughter of Martin Weiss. Anna Barbara Weiss died in Wies in 1827 when she was 25 years, 2 months, and 29 days old. At that time Johann Friedrich was shown as a citizen and bkacksmith (Nagelschmidt) in Wies.

He married Barbara Doerflinger of Wies in Wies on December 3, 1828. She was a daughter of the deceased Mathias Doerflinger of Wies. Barbara was born in Wies on April 29, 1801. At the time of his second marriage, Johann Friedrich was still shown as a Nagelschmidt in Wies.

In Dieter's line, the wife of Friedrich Schwald (1809) was definitely (repeat, definitely)
shown in the marriage record in 1833 as Anna Maria Flatt (not Flad) of Wies.
In later years, the name Flad is commonally found in the Malsburg records.
It appears that the spelling of the name may have gradually permuted from Flatt to Flad.
Another possibility (although I seriously doubt it) is that there were two distinct families with similar names.

Note: Anna Maria Flatt was born on August 17, 1810 in Wies. When she married Friedrich in 1833, she was a widow. Her first husband, Johannes Buergin, died in Wies on August 16, 1831.

Hi Hanno:

The Anna Guedemann who married Peter Geiger and Hans Fritz could not have been born in 1641. When she died as Peter Geiger's wife in 1688 she was 68 years old. This means that she must have been the Anna Guedemann who was born to Hannss Guedemann and Anna Dannerin in (the) Sattlehof on October 31, 1619. Please make the following corrections and additions:

Name: Anna GUDEMANN
Sex: F

Died: March 26, 1688, in Hasel

Father: Hannss Guedemann
Mother: Anna Dannerin

Marriage 1: Hans Morgenstern
Place: Probably in Hasel
Date: Before 1671

The mother of Maria Magdalena Pfunder, the wife of Johannes Schwald (1822), was Anna Maria Leuger, not Anna Maria Buerger as I previously stated. When Anna Maria married Jakob Friedrich Pfunder in Hofen in 1820, she was the widow of Johann Jacob Rosskopf, the Vogt of Hofen who died on August 6, 1819. Both the record of the death of her first husband in 1819 and the record of her second marriage in 1820 clearly shows that her name was anna Maria Leuger, not Anna Maria Laeuger (Laeuger) as Fred Wehrle states.

I called my sister Anne today, she and her husband Ole is back from their vacation to Tenerife. I've sent her a copy of your mail about your trip. It seems the best time is from around the middle of July. Anne says she expects you to stay with them, so you don't have to think about any hotel. We talked about maybe to take a trip to the place where your grandmother's mother came from, some distance south of Kristiansund. I've never been there, but my sister went there once with my father, just before he died. That is close to Alesund, which is a larger city than Kristiansund. My sister told me something I didn't know, actually, that Ole Bergh and his family lived for some years in Alesund, after moving from Trondheim, where my father was born. They lived there until after the great city fire in 1904, when they moved to Kristiansund, where your grandmother and the other children grew up. Your grandmother is born in 1903, and that makes me guess she was born in Alesund, not in Kristiansund as I've believed until now. Maybe we should do some research on that. - But then maybe we should go to Alesund as well.

My mother's name is Edith Bergh, born June 26, 1918 in Kristiansund, maiden name Edith Sjolseng
My name is E. O. Bergh, born J. 31, 1946 in Kristiansund
My sister's name is Anne Margareth Bergh Aae, born February 3, 1942 in Kristiansund. Married to Ole Kolbjorn Aae, birth date later
Then I have a brother, Reidar Sjolseng Bergh, born August 29, 1943 in Kristiansund
And another sister, Solveig Marie Bergh, born A. 8, 1955 in Kristiansund

Hallo Christof,

geschrieben, wohnten in Haagen, Hauptstr. 59. Diese hatten am 30.03.1876 in
Haagen geheiratet. Johann Friedrich Schwald wurde am 22.05.1852 in
Kaltenbach geboren, Luise Karolina Wechlin am 11.05.1854 in Haagen.

Das Ehepaar hatte noch zwei weitere Kinder

a. Emil Schwald, geb. am 27.10.1876 in Haagen

b. Johann Friedrich Schwald, geb. am 22.12.1877 in Haagen. Dieser verstarb
am 07.04.1935 in M?nchen. Die Eintragungsnummer dieser Sterbefallbeurkundung
lautet Standesamt M?nchen II Nr. 698/1935.

interessant.

Herzliche Gr??e

4. MIKE3 EISENZIMMER (JOHN2, EISENZIMMER1) was born in Not sure 1892 1893. He married (2) KATHERINE KELLER. He married (1) MAGADELINA FOLK.

Notes for MIKE EISENZIMMER: Buried in Devils Lake, ND

Notes for MAGDELINA FOLK:
Mike's first wife died in 1924, leaving 5 kids, 10 Madadelina, (Died Dec. of 1999), the oldest, then Katherine, Mike, Frank, and 2 or 3 old Sebastian.

The step mother apparently raised them. Frank went off to war (WWII) and was killed at a young age (very early 20's. He, by the way, has a daughter named Francesca, but we don't know where she Island Last anyone in our family knew was that she lived in Maine and was getting married, but we don't know the married name. )
Si left home, don?t know what age or any more about him other than that he died around 1997 and was living in the Washington DC area.

After his first wife died Mike married Katherine Keller. One or more of his sons from the first marriage worked in the CCC camps building parks, roads etc. They left the home as soon as they could.

Magdelina left home at the age of 18. By that time Marie, Ray, Floyd and Alice had been born. She was aware that there were more kids after that, but she had cut all ties by then and didn't even know their names. She never went back to North Dakota, not even for Mike's funeral when he died - that is how bitter it was. She had a daughter, 2 months old when that happened, I think.

Maria Barbara Schwald (1844) had an illegitimate daughter named Maria Barbara on January 19, 1864, in Kaltenbach.
She had a second illegitimate daughter in Kaltenbach on March 27, 1866, named Ernstina. On July 8, 1866, Johannes Forsthuber of Kaltenbach acknowledged that he was the father of Ernstina (inexplicity, shown as Verena Ernstina).
We can make the reasonable assumption that he was the father also of Maria Barbara (1864).
Johannes Forsthuber and his brother Johann Jacob exchanged favors. Each was a Godfather to illegitimate children fathered by the other. Johann Jacob later married Maria Katharina Lais of Kaltenbach, the mother of his illegitimate child.
On March 28, 1867, Johannes Forsthuber married Maria Barbara Schwald in Kaltenbach. They went on to have five more children, all born in Kaltenbach.
1. Albert--April 3, 1870 (Maria Katharina (Lais) Forsthuber was a Godmother.)
2. Ernst Friedrich--May 8, 1871 ( Jacob Friedrich Forsthuber and Johann Georg Forsthuber, two other brothers, were Godfathers.)
3. Emma--December 3, 1872 (Johann Georg Forsthuber was a Godfather.)
4. Albert Friedrich--May, 30, 1875 (Johann Georg Forsthuber was a Godfather.)
5. Anna Maria--May 26, 1877 (Johann Jacob Forsthuber was a Godfather.)
Maria Barbara (1844) died sometime after the birth of her last child; and Johannes Forsthuber married Maria Katharina Renk of
Kaltenbach (she was 16 years younger) on April 24, 1884.
Ernstina (1866) married Alexander Boetsch of Griesheim on February 24, 1887, in Kaltenbach.
Johannes Forsthuber and Maria Katharina Renk had a daughter named Sopfia in Kaltenbach.

The father of Karl Friedrich Schwald (1866) was never disclosed. Almost always the father of an illegitimate child was identified; and the father usually later married the mother. It is clear that the Schwald and Forsthuber families were very close. I have a sneaking suspicion that one of the Forsthuber brothers fathered Karl Friedrich (1866), most likely Jacob Friedrich, who to my knowledge, never married. But sneaking suspicions do not count in Genealogy research.
