Notes |
Married:
- CORRECT PARENTS:
After thorough research of mission baptism & marriage records and censuses, it is UNSUBSTANTIATED but MOST LIKELY that these are the correct parents of Maria Gertrudis Gonzalez.
- Gertrudis and these Gonzalez family members took turns serving as madrinos/padrinos for many family baptism records and served as witnesses for family members' weddings. It was customary for families to do this for one another.
- Many supposed family members lived next door to Gertrudis per censuses.
- The padrino for Gertrudis' first son, Juan Daniel (Verdugo) was Antonio Perez, Gertrudis' future step-father, marrying Gertrudis' widowed mother Guadalupe ESPINOSA after the death of his first wife.
