      BIOGRAPHY
      Juan Carrillo
      Born c. 1690. died 1748 [Loreto Burial cited in Bancroft, North Mexican States, vol. XV, p. 462 n.] (Ifigenia Millan). Enlisted in Presidio of Loreto by 1715, served at Loreto and several missions (records survive from San Ignacio, 1731 (California Archive, vol. 5, pp 33-34), and Comondu, 1736-1742. Continued on active duty until death.
