OBITUARY:
MRS. R. WEIMER PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Refugio Weimer passed away on her 86th birthday Tuesday afternoon at the family residence on 559 Marsh street.
Having resided in this county for the past 74 years, where she had lived a life of helpful service, Mrs. Weimer created many friends to whom her death will come as a severe shock.
According to intimates of the deceased, she had been suffering from illness the past three weeks and it was on her birthday anniversary that death came.
An old pioneer of San Luis Obispo, Mrs. Refugio had become well known for her community service, always being willing to administer to the sick and unfortunate in their time of need.
She is survived by three sons, Frank S. Weimer of Los Angeles and Tom and Mike Weimer of San Luis Obispo.
Funeral services have been arranged for 9:30 Thursday morning at the Richardson funeral parlors, followed by 10 o'clock services at the Mission.
Interment will be in the Catholic cemetery.

PIONEER RITE HELD THURSDAY
Last respects were paid to Mrs. Refugio Weimer at the funeral services held Thursday morning at the Mission at 10 o'clock, with Fr. Shippe officating.
The death of Mrs. Weimer, which occurred Tuesday on her 86th birthday anniversary, following an illness of three weeks, marks the passing of a member of a prominent pioneer family.
Mrs. Weimer, who resided at 559 Marsh street, was the last surviving daughter of the late Thomas Higuera, who once owned a 160 acre tract near the city.
Much of the land composing Higuera street, which was named for him, and part of the land comprising Marsh street, was presented to the city by him.
The deceased was also well known and beloved for her sterling qualities, having adminstered to many of the sick and needy of this city.
She had lived in San Luis Obispo for the past 74 years and her death came as a shock to many friends and associates.
She is survived by three sons, Frank S. Weimer of Los Angeles, Tom and Mike Weimer, both of San Luis Obispo.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Joe Rodrigues, Manuel Lopez, J. J. Andre, Al, Joe and Frank Saldado.
Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
