BUCYRUS..Aug 15- Christian Leuthold, well known Crawford County Farmer, died at his home on the Scioto Trail Wednesday Afternoon at 1210 o'clock. The death was following an operation for cancer, which he underwent the first of May. He had been bed fast for the past three weeks.

Mr. Leuthold was born NOv 12 1865 in Canton, Berne, Switerland and was the son of Christian and Katheryn Knutte Leuthold.

He emigrated with his parents to this country in 1884, living first in New York, and later in Seattle, Wash. In 1894 he came to Crawford County where he established his home. He was married April 13 or 18 1898 to Clara F. Geissman who survives with the following children:
MIlton, Canton, Mrs. Harold Wilson of near Bucyrus; Helen of Detroit; Melvin, Calvin, Walton, Paul, Hazel, Eldon, and Albert at home.

The following brothers: John, David, Samuel, Gottfried and Alfred, sisters: Miss Louise Leuthold, Mrs. Gottfried Welty and Mrs. Katy Bohn, all of near Bucyrus.

He was a member of the Lincoln Way Methodist Church of Bucyrus.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. Emil Klotz, pastor of Lincoln Way Church officiating

John Leuthold

BUCYRUS-John Leuthold 82, retired farmer of Bucyrus, died at 11:50 PM Tuesday at home. He was ill several years.

Born March 25, 1871, in Switzerland, he was the son of Christian and Catheryne Knote Leuthold, and came to this country at the age of 13. March 11 1903, he married Annie Spring. Before coming to Bucyrus 10 years ago, he farmed Southwest of here. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and of Bucyrus Grange.

Surviving are his widow, and children, Arthur and Oscar, both of Bucyrus township, Russell of Fayette, Reuben of Wheaton, ILL., Mrs. Esther Butchko of Lakeside, and Mrs. Ruth Deutsch of Republic, 15 grandchildren, and brother and sisters, Godfrey Leuthold of near Bucyrus, and Mrs. Rose Welty, and Miss. Louisa Leuthold, both of Bucyrus. 4 brothers and a sister proceeded him in death.

FUneral services will be conducted Friday at 2 PM in the Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Joseph Nielson will officate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wise Funeral Home Thursday night.

Obituary
GODFREY LEUTHOLD
BUCYRUS- Godfrey Leuthold, 87, a patient at the Westfall Rest Home here for 4 years died there at 1120 AM Wednesday.

He was born in August 1873 in Berne, Switzerland, a son of Christian and Catherine Knute Leuthold. He married Mila Baumgartner, who preceeded him in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Fuller Jr. of Cleveland, and two sisters, Miss Louise Leuthold and Mrs. Rose Welty, both of Bucyrus.

Mr. Leuthold was an attorney here before retiring in 1925. He came to the United States from Switzerland when he was 11. He graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1903 and later was graduated from Ohio Northern University.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Services will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday in the Lutz Funeral Home here by Rev. Norman Prichard. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.

SPECIAL IN THE STAR
BUCYRUS, April 21- Funeral will be held Monday at 2 PM in the Wise Funeral Home for Samuel A. Leuthold, 68, Bucyrus real estate broker and member of the Crawford County Bar Association who died in City Hospital Friday. Burial will be made in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Leuthold's death followed an illness of several months. He underwent major surgery Tuesday.

Born in Switzerland, he came to America as a small boy, and lived with his family first at Upper Sandusky, later coming to Crawford County where he lived on a farm south of Bucyrus.

His marriage Tenna Miller took place in 1910. The widow survives with six children, Marion R. of Hammond, Ind., Cynthia of Bucyrus; Myra G. of Dayton, Annabelle at home; Roger's in the Navy, and James, with the Army in France. Three brothers, Godfrey, David and John Leuthold, all of Bucyrus, and two sisters, Mrs. Godfrey Welty and Miss Louise Leuthold, also of Bucyrus survive.

Mr. Leuthold received his education at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea and at Ohio Northern at Ada. He was a member of First Methodist Church.
